Lviv. Customs Square and Pinzel Museum – Former Church of the Klarysok

The former Church of the Klarysok is the most noticeable accent of the construction on the lower part of the Lychakivska street. The church was built in 1607 (Architects Bernard Avelides and Pavlo Rymlianyn) The interior was decorated in 1760. The reconstruction was done during 1938-1939 with architect Antoniy Lobos. Since then, the church has received a slender modernist tower, which is the architectural accent of the ancient Renaissance temple. 

Now there is a Museum of Sacred Baroque Sculpture by Johann Georg Pinzel – department of the Lviv National Art Gallery named after B.G. Voznitsky.

The historical name of the square comes from the fact that since 1782, in the premises of the monastery of the Klarysok, was city customs office.

Львiв. Митна площа і музей Пiнзеля – колишній костел кларисок

Колишній костел кларисок – найпомітніший акцент забудови нижньої частини вул. Личаківської. Костел побудовано у 1607 р. (арх. Бернард Авелідес та Павло Римлянин), а в 1760-ті рр. декоровано інтер'єр. Протягом 1938–1939 рр. проведено реконструкцію храму (архітектор Антоній Лобос). Відтоді костел отримав струнку модерністичну вежу, яка становить архітектурний акцент давнього ренесансового храму. 

 Зараз тyт функціонує Музей сакральної барокової скульптури Йоганна Георга Пінзеля –  відділ Львівської національної галереї мистецтв імені Б. Г. Возницького.

 Історична назва площі походить від того, що з 1782 року в приміщеннях монастиря кларисок містилась митниця.
